ABOUT US
We provide a bridge of connection between fashion designers, models, photographers, advertising agencies, modeling and talent agencies, fine artists, makeup and hair stylists, exhibitors and all other entrepreneurs in the beauty, fashion, and entertainment industry. Our overall goal with this stylish endeavor is to bring more awareness and economic growth to our local fashion industry.
With fashion becoming more mainstream, and with the growing demand for both beauty and fashion products in all markets, retailers need better resources that can provide them with the tools they need to be profitable. We function with the goal of helping fashion retailers thrive within the current marketplace, while giving manufacturers an outlet that will effectively reach these buyers, thereby helping sustain the fashion economy. We work with local higher education institutions to recruit and develop talent, as well provide an avenue for students to learn real-world skills within the various industries that contribute to our event. As part of our commitment to the Greater Sacramento Area economy, our marketing strategy involves collaboration with local businesses and groups to create new sales and networking opportunities. |
HISTORY
It all begin as a mixer in 2005 that turned into Sacramento Fashion Week. Each year the events continue to garner spotlight attention from local and major media outlets. The pandemic shutdown in 2020 changed everything from event production to retail businesses. Shows began live streaming and moving their focus to online viewers since social distancing limited the possibility and capacity of in-person live events. With this adjustment came the rebranding of Sacramento Fashion Week to what is now Fashion In The City. This exciting opportunity opened up the unique ability to produce events in other cities, thus extending our reach to stream showcases worldwide.
